I have only been crocheting for about a year and I am so excited about this CAL. I wish that we continually had Cal's going as I can never decide what I want to do. There are so many projects that I want to do, but can never decided which one to do or what colors to use.

Can I just watch and take notes for this croichet along? As I'm on a time frame of doing baby item for my new grandson who is due to arrive in May. But I love Mystry and crochet and though this would be fun. Is this possible?

I was going to try to do both the CAL and the KAl but with Tax Season and 2 night school classes I figured that would be nuts!

So I chose CAL because I am more comfortable (and quicker) crocheting than knitting. I think I will download the clues though and keep them to try when I am not so busy! Oh...and my yarn just arrived today!

I did my test swatch using size H hook and it came out way too small. I tried 3 times and same result each time. I went up to size I hook and it came out perfect the first time. Guess I am just that uptight and can't relax without help. LOL

It happens to the best of us!

Ok, so as soon as I got home from work, I tried my swatch again with the H hook. I held the yarn much looser than I usually do, which felt a bit uncomfortable, But it worked!!
I actually came out with a 4x4 square!!!

I agree... I don't like to make granny squares... I am finishing an afghan with squares and I really dislike sewing them all together. I would love a CAL, but not with individual squares... So, I guess I will join you next time. Thanks....
