First Timer!

Hello. I have been teaching myself to knit and crochet for about 3 years now. It's kind of slow going but I'm getting where I want to be! This will be my first time to join a Knit or Crochet a long and I'm very nervous and very excited at the same time.

Hi! This my first KAL also. I'm really excited about it. Acutally it's my first ever afghan! I've been wanting to knit one for ages. With a KAL I will be knitting along with other that will be in the same level as I am (I hope). But it will be a great experience! Looking forward to the aventure...lol

This is my first KAL too. I've been teaching myself to knit for a little over a year. I've ordered my yarn and can't wait to get started. The February 15th date will give me time to get a few WIP items completed before we start the KAL. One of the very first items that I knitted was an afghan, but I still haven't finished. The entire afghan is moss stitch and it just puts me to sleep every time I pick it up to finish. I have one skein left to knit, plus the border! I really need to buckle down and get it done.

I am so excited! I really want to participate in this KAL it will be my first one! I taught myself to knit 20 years ago (at age 7) and am very experienced, but have never participated in an online group of people all doing this together - sounds like a hoot though! Better hurry and finish the afghan I have on needles now (I am notorious for not finishing projects because I start another one)

Hello All

I have been slowly and steadily (like the turtle, ya know...lol) teaching myself to knit and crochet since 2009. I've made things for other people but have not made anything for myself. So, I decided I would join my first ever Knit-a-long and the Mystery Project will be mine all mine when it's finished!! I've very nervous and very excited to be a part of this.

I think you will enjoy this and if you perservere, you will learn some new skills along the way and will have quite an accomplishment at the end. Good luck and if you run into problems, bring them to the forums and get help along the way. Good luck & have fun. I know I am personally quite excited for that first clue to appear. I did the first KAL mystery afghan (to be more accurate, I should say I knit the blocks for it -- I haven't sewn it together and finished it.) I'm hopeful to get that done before this new one begins, but we shall have to see. Finishing is my least favorite part of any project!

Thank you for the kindness!! I think I'm going to fall in love with knitting all over again through this KAL! And I've looked at the past 2 years of CAL/KAL and it just made my mouth water at how yummy all those lovely projects turned out! IS IT FEBRUARY YET???? LOL
