Lovely snow! :inlove:
I don't think we will get any this year. :tears:

But, then again, we might be surprised. Sometimes, we get a BIG snow in March, that really takes us by surprise.

I've never done a knit along or a crochet along but sounds interesting. Right now I am close to having a garter knit afghan done only I'm not calling it and afghan. I'm calling it Joseph's Blanket of many colors. It's kind of hidious yet kinda cool and certainly a one of a kind. You see I live in a very small house and I don't have a basement or attic. All my kids still live at home so no spare bedroom either. I have a big bin full of left over yarn. That is what i knitted this blanket with. It has many brands of acrylic yarn in it and Bernat is in it too. I feel like my yarn bin is like the widow woman's bottle of oil. ( If you know the bible story she made cakes with it everyday but never ran out of oil.) Anyways my blanket has used a lot of yarn and i can't believe it but that bin is still full.

I knit and crochet and if I do this I have to make a choice of which way I'll make it either knit or crochet. Can i participate without buying yarn? Believe me I have no room for more yarn not only is my yarn bin full but my sock yarn is in a box under my bed cause it won't fit in the yarn bin. I have to deplete what I have before getting anymore yarn. I've been lazy tonight and have not knitting much on my blanket.

I have a question for anyone with dogs or cats. "Do any of your animals think that what you are making is for them?" Yes I've made toys for my pets and a sweater once for one dog and they like the things i made for them. It's just while still working on this huge blanket for our queen size bed, i have to keep telling my animals it's not for them. My one dog Roscoe tried to paw it into position for him to lay on it I'l I'll call his name and say "Roscoe, that's not for you don't paw it. ' He'll give me this look of disappointment and jump into my lap and kiss my face. He's the one I have to tell more often than the other dog or cat. But when the other 2 get on it just calling them does not make them get off you have to physically remove them.

Where is your knitting smiley. There is one in another group I'm in.

Sounds fun! I love making blankets with spare yarn like that. :D

You can use any worsted weight yarn in your stash

Kaleigh is working on adding it, so it should be working soon. I just wish there was a crochet smiley as well.

Not so much what you make, but my dog loves what you make it with. She'll pick up yarn and carry it around the house, just for kicks. Last year my mom was making this beautiful red sweater and was keeping the balls of yarn in a basket beside the couch. The dog went over with her kong, dropped it in the basket, picked up a ball of yarn, and wandered off. At least she was polite enough to leave something in its place? :idonno:

Hi All:

I have both a cat and 3 dogs. The dogs love to sleep on whatever I am knitting, however, the 15 year old cat often chews the yarn, and I never find out until I am only left with a little end.
