A few weeks ago I also finished the A Song of Ice and Fire series - our poor boss has had to hear us talk about it since June
. I've had commitment issues since then. I started Deep Secret by Diana Wynne Jones, which I've read countless times, but it didn't grab me. So I tried Children of Dune! Nah. I was getting into Red Dragon, but then I had to return it to the library and there's a number of holds on it.
Now I'm on Shōgun by James Clavell. My boyfriend suggested it, and I'm feeling good because I had a lot of Japanese history courses in university (okay, Japanese religion, but just try and separate the two!) and really enjoyed them. Plus a lot of the characters are based on figures I had learned about, so if I can feel like I'm using my degree for something, I'm all for it!
Aaand finally I'm a little way into Arcadian Adventures with the Idle Rich by Stephen Leacock, which I got from my grandfather. I'm loving it so far! Leacock reads like a Canadian P. G. Wodehouse, and I love me some Wodehouse
