Membership Questions & Answers
1. Why do I need to sign up for a membership?
A membership provides for access to our library of free patterns as well as to our e-newsletter subscription which contains information about new yarns and patterns.
2. Why do I need to activate my membership?
Activation is required in order to verify that you are in fact the person who signed up for the membership and that you are the owner of the email address. An activated membership allows you to view / download free patterns when logged in. An activated membership allows you to subscribe to the newsletter so that it can be delivered to your email address. You may start and stop your subscription at any time by accessing your toolbox.
3. Why can’t I activate my membership?
Ensure the email address you signed up with is correct as this will be the address that the activation email will be sent to. Check your “spam” folder if the Activation Email is not in your inbox.
Verizon e-mail accounts: Due to system incompatibilities, we are unable to send emails to Verizon email addresses. You may either sign up again using a non-Verizon email address to use the automated activation system or if you would prefer to continue using your Verizon email address, please call 1-888-368-8401 with your nickname and password and your membership will be activated over the phone. We are also unable to send newsletters to Verizon addresses.
4. How do I start my e-newsletter subscription?
Go to your member settings – www.bernat.com/member.php and select subscribe to newsletter.
5. How do I unsubscribe from the e-newsletter?
Go to www.bernat.com/unsubscribe and enter your email address to unsubscribe to the newsletter and all other mailings.
6. How do I activate my membership/email?
