Cool Crochet - Purse (crochet)

This funky beaded purse can be made to your own personal style. Crochet in Bernat Cool Crochet Ebony (#74040) on size 4 mm (U.S. G or 6) hook. Measures approx. 5 inches by 6 inches (12.5 cm by 15 cm) excluding strap.

MEASUREMENTS
Approx 5 x 6 ins [12.5 x 15 cm], excluding strap.

MATERIALS
Bernat Cool Crochet (50 g/1.75 oz):
1 ball of #74040 (Ebony)

Size 4 mm (U.S. G or 6) crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge. Beads.

GAUGE: 18 sc and 20 rows = 4 ins [10 cm].

INSTRUCTIONS
Ch 22.
1st rnd: (RS). 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 1 sc in each ch to last ch. 2 sc in last ch. Do not turn. Working into rem loops on opposite side of foundation ch, 1 sc in each ch across. Join with sl st to first sc. 42 sc.
2nd rnd: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc around. Join with sl st to first sc.
Rep last rnd for 6 ins [15 cm].

Edging: Next rnd: Ch 1. Working from left to right instead of from right to left, 1 reverse sc in each sc around. Join with sl st to first sc. Fasten off.

Strap: Make a chain 44 ins [112 cm] long. Sl st in 2nd ch from hook. Sl st in each ch to end of ch. Fasten off.

Fringe: Cut yarn 13 ins [33 cm] long. Fold single strand in half and tie ends in a knot. Thread 6 beads onto doubled strand and knot opposite end to keep beads in place. Push 3 beads up to each knot. Knot beaded strands into fringe along top edge of Purse in row below reverse sc row.
Sew ends of Strap to inside of top edge of Purse.
