MEASUREMENTS
Approx 33 ins [84 cm] long x 3 [7.5 cm] ins in diameter.

MATERIALS: Bernat Super Value (225 g/8 oz)
Contrast A (07414 Natural) 1 ball
Contrast B (00607 Berry) 1 ball

Size 6.5 mm (U.S. K or 10½) crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge. Stuffing. 2 black buttons ½ ins [1.5 cm] in diameter for eyes.

GAUGE
9½ sc and 11 rows = 4 ins [10 cm] with 2 strands of yarn.

INSTRUCTIONS
Note: To change color, work to last 2 loops on hook. Draw new color through 2 loops, then proceed in new color. Work is done with 2 strands of yarn.

BODY
With 2 strands of A, ch 5. Join in ring.
**1st rnd: Ch 1. 6 sc in ring. Join with sl st to first sc. 6 sc.
2nd rnd: Ch 1. 2 sc in every sc around. Join with sl st to first sc. 12 sc.
3rd rnd: Ch 1. *2 sc in next sc. 1 sc in next sc. Rep from * around. Join with sl st to first sc. 18 sc.
4th rnd: Ch 1. *2 sc in next sc. 1 sc in each of next 2 sc. Rep from * around. Join with sl st to first sc. 24 sc.**
5th rnd: Ch 1. Working in back loops only, 1 sc in each sc around. Join with sl st to first sc.
6th rnd: Working in both loops, 1 sc in each sc around. Join with sl st to first sc.
Rep last rnd, changing colors as follows: With A - 24 rnds, With B - 2 rnds, with A - 4 rnds, with B - 2 rnds, with A - 3 rnds, with B - 2 rnds, with A, 20 rnds, (with B - 1 rnd, with A - 1 rnd) 4 times, with B - 2 rnds, With A - 2 rnds, with B - 14 rnds. Fasten off. Break yarn.

“End” of Body: With 2 strands of B, ch 5. Join in ring. Work from ** to ** as given above. Fasten off. Stuff Body. Sew “End” in position.

LEGS (make 4).
With B, ch 7. Join in rnd.
1st rnd: Ch 1. 1 sc in each ch around. Join with sl st to first sc. 7 sc.
2nd rnd: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc around. Join with sl st to first sc.
Rep last rnd once more.
Next rnd: Ch 1. 1 sc in each of next 2 sc. 3 dc in next sc. 1 dc in next sc. 3 dc in next sc. 1 sc in each of last 2 sc. Join with sl st to first sc. Fasten off. Sew legs to body as shown in picture.

TAIL
With A, ch 8. Join in rnd.
1st rnd: Ch 1. 1 sc in each ch around. Join with sl st to first sc. 8 sc.
2nd rnd: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc around. Join with sl st to first sc.
Rep last rnd 5 times more.
Next rnd: Ch 1. 1 sc in each of next 2 sc. 1 dc in each of next 2 sc. Miss next sc. 1 dc in next sc. 1 sc in each of next 2 sc. Join with sl st to first sc. 7 sts.
Next rnd: Ch 1. 1 sc in each of next 2 sc. 1 dc in next dc. Miss next dc. 1 dc in next dc. 1 sc in each of next 2 sc. Join with sl st to first sc. 6 sts.

EARS (make 2).
With B, ch 12.
1st row: (RS). 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 1 sc in each ch to end of ch. Turn. 11 sc.
2nd row: Ch 1. 2 sc in first sc. 1 sc in each sc to end of row. Turn.
3rd row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc to end of row. Turn.
Rep last 2 rows twice more. Fasten off.

Sew Ears as shown in picture. Attach buttons for eyes. With B embroider nose and mouth.
