Our cute little Doggy Draft Dodger will faithfully guard your home from those sneaky winter blasts. Approx. 33in (84 cm) long x 3in (7.5 cm) diameter. Shown in Bernat Super Value Sable (#04011) and Mocha (#04013) knit on size 5.5 mm (U.S. 8) needles.

MEASUREMENTS
Approx 33 ins [84 cm] long x 3 ins [7.5 cm] diameter.

MATERIALS
Bernat Satin (100 g/3.5 oz)
Contrast A (04011 Sable) 4 balls
Contrast B (04013 Mocha) 4 balls

Size 5.5 mm (U.S. 8) knitting needles or size needed to obtain gauge. Stuffing. 2 black buttons ½ ins [1.5 cm] in diameter for eyes.

GAUGE
14½ sts and 18 rows = 4 ins [10 cm] in stocking st with 2 strands of yarn.

INSTRUCTIONS
BODY
Note: Work is done with 2 strands of yarn.

With 2 strands of A, cast on 5 sts.
**1st row: (K1. M1) 4 times. K1. 9 sts.
2nd and alt rows: Purl.
3rd row: Inc 1 st in next st. Rep from * to end of row. 18 sts.
5th row: *Inc 1 st in next st. K1. Rep from * to end of row. 27 sts.
7th row: *Inc 1 st in next st. K2. Rep from * to end of row. 36 sts. Place marker at end of row.**

Cont even in stocking st and change colors as follows: With A - 24 rows, (With B - 2 rows, with A - 3 rows) twice, with B - 2 rows, with A, 20 rows, (with B - 2 rows, with A - 2 rows) 15 times.
With B, cont even until work from marker measures 30 ins [76 cm], ending with RS facing for next row.

“End” of Body: 1st row: With 2 strands of B, *K2tog. K2. Rep from * to end of row. 27sts.
2nd and alt rows: Purl.
3rd row: K2tog. K1. Rep from * to end of row. 18 sts.
5th row: K2tog. Rep from * to end of row. 9 sts. Break yarn, leaving a long end. Thread end through rem sts and tighten up.
Sew side seam, leaving opening for stuffing. Stuff Body. Sew opening closed.

LEGS (make 2 with A, 2 with B).
With 2 strands, cast on 9 sts.
Proceed in stocking st for 6 rows.
Next row: (RS). K3. [(K1. P1. K1) all in next st] 3 times. K3. 15 sts.
Knit 2 rows. Cast off knitwise.
Sew side edges tog.
Sew legs to body as shown in picture.

TAIL
With A, cast on 23 sts.
Proceed in stocking st for 2 ins [5 cm], ending with RS facing for next row. Cast off.
Fold Tail lengthwise. Sew cast on and cast off edges tog tapering to point at one end and pulling yarn to make it bend.
Attach Tail to Body.

EARS (make 2).
With 2 strands of B, cast on 20 sts.
1st row: (WS). Knit.
2rd row: Inc 1 st in first st. Knit to end of row.
Rep last 2 rows 4 times more. 25 sts.
Knit 9 rows. Cast off.

Sew Ears in position. Attach buttons for eyes. With B, embroider nose and mouth.
