Beautiful blanket worked in a classic cable pattern. Measures approximately 50 inches (127 cm) wide x 55 inches (139.5 cm) long. Shown in Bernat Softee Chunky Twists Taupe Twists (#86010) knit using size 6 mm (U.S. 10) needles.

MEASUREMENTS
Approx 50 ins [127 cm] wide x 55 ins [139.5 cm] long.

MATERIALS
Bernat Softee Chunky Twists (80 g/3 oz)
16 balls of #86010 (Taupe Twists)
OR
Bernat Softee Chunky Twists (340 g/12 oz)
4 balls of #87010 Taupe

Size 6 mm (U.S. 10) circular knitting needle 36 ins [90 cm] long or size needed to obtain gauge. Cable needle.

GAUGE: 15 sts and 20 rows = 4 ins [10 cm] in stocking st.

C10B = Slip next 5 sts onto a cable needle. K5, then K5 from cable needle.

INSTRUCTIONS
Cast on 230 sts. Do not join; working back and forth across needle, proceed as follows:

Top Edging: **1st row: (RS). K6.* P3. K3. Rep from * to last 8 sts. P2. K6.
2nd row: K8. *P3. K3. Rep from * to last 6 sts. K6.
Rep last 2 rows 3 times more.**

Proceed as follows:
1st row: (RS). K6. *P2. K10. Rep from * to last 8 sts. P2. K6.
2nd and alt rows: K8. *P10. K2. Rep from * to last 6 sts. K6.
3rd row: As 1st row.
5th row: K6. *P2. C10B. P2. K10. Rep from * to last 8 sts. P2. K6.
7th and 9th rows: As 1st row.
11th row: As 5th row.
13th and 15th rows: As 1st row.
17th row: K6. * P2. K10. P2. C10B. Rep from * to last 8 sts. P2. K6.
19th and 21st rows: As 1st row.
23rd row: As 17th row.
24th row: As 2nd row.
These 24 rows form Cable Pat.
Cont in Cable Pat until work from beg measures approx 53 ins [134.5 cm], ending with 24th row of pat.

Bottom Edging: Work from ** to ** as given for Top edging. Cast off in pat.
