MEASUREMENTS
Dishcloth: Approx 12 ins [30.5 cm] square.
Towel Topper: Approx 6 ins [15 cm] wide x 12 ins [30.5 cm] long.

MATERIALS
Bernat Handicrafter Cotton
(Solids: 400 g/14 oz or 50 g/1.75 oz)
or (Ombres and Prints: 340 g/12 oz or 42.5 g/1.5 oz)

Dishcloth or Towel Topper requires: 40 g/1.5 oz each of (#33216 Lavender Ice) as A and (#00001 White) as B.

Size 5 mm (U.S. H or 8) crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge. 1 button. 1 tea towel.

GAUGE
12 sc and 13 rows = 4 ins [10 cm].

INSTRUCTIONS
Note: To change color, work to last 2 loops on hook of last st. Draw new color through to complete st and proceed in new color.

DISHCLOTH
With A, ch 37.
1st row: (RS). 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 1 sc in each ch to end of ch. 36 sc. Turn.
2nd row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc to end of row. Turn.
Rep last row in following color sequence: (With A, 6 rows. With B, 2 rows) twice. With A, 6 rows. With B, 6 rows. With A, 2 rows. With B, 8 rows. With A, 2 rows. Fasten off.

TOWEL TOPPER
With A, ch 22.
1st row: (RS). 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 1 sc in each ch to end of ch. 21 sc. Turn.
2nd row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc to end of row. Turn.
Rep last row in following color sequence: With A, 6 rows. With B, 2 rows. With A, 2 rows. With B, 2 rows. With A, 8 rows. Break B.

Tie: Next row: With A, ch 1. Draw up a loop in each of first 2 sts. Yoh and draw through all loops on hook -sc2tog made. 1 sc in each sc to last 2 sts. Sc2tog over last 2 sts. Turn.
Rep last row 4 times more. 11 sc.
Place marker at end of last row.

Next row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc to end of row. Turn.
Rep last row for 6 ins [15 cm].
Next row: (Buttonhole row). Ch 1. 1 sc in each of first 4 sc. Ch 3. Miss next 3 sc. 1 sc in each sc to end of row. Turn.
Next row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each of first 4 sc. 3 sc in ch-3 sp. 1 sc in each sc to end of row. Turn.
Next 2 rows: Ch 1. 1 sc in each st to end of row. Turn. Fasten off at end of last row.
Sew button to front of Towel Topper at marked row. Sew to tea towel.
