Cont even in MC until work from beg measures 16½ (18-19¾) ins [42 (46-50) cm], ending with a purl row. Cast off. Mark last row 17 (19-21) sts in from left and right edges for back neck opening. Mark 7 (7½-8) ins [18 (19-20.5) cm] down left and right sides of Back for Sleeve placement.
FRONT: Rep from ** to ** as given
for Back.
Cont even in MC until work from
beg measures 13½ (15-16¾) ins
[34.5 (38-42.5) cm], ending with
RS facing for next row.
1st row: (RS). K24 (26-28). Turn,
leaving rem 30 (32-34) sts on a
spare needle.
2nd row: Cast off 2 sts. Purl to end
of row.
3rd row: Knit.
Rep
2nd and 3rd rows once more.
6th row: P2tog. Purl to end of row.
7th row: Knit.
Rep 6th and 7th rows twice more.

Cont even until work from beg measures 16½ (18-19¾) ins [42 (46-50) cm], ending with a purl row. Cast off. Slip center 6 sts onto a st holder. With RS facing and MC, knit rem 24 (26-28) sts.

Neckband
Sew right shoulder seam.
With smaller needles, RS facing and
MC, pick up and knit 14 sts down
left front neck edge. K6 from st
holder. Pick up and knit 14 sts up
right front neck edge. Pick up and
knit 19 sts between markers for
back neck. 53 sts.
Beg on a 2nd row, work 1¼ ins [3 cm]
in (K1. P1) ribbing as given for
Back.
Cast off.
Sew left shoulder and
neckband seam.
SLEEVES
***With larger needles and MC, pick
up and knit 53 (57-61) sts between
Sleeve markers on side of garment
body.
2nd row: Purl.
Change to B.
Cont in stocking st in following color
sequence (2 rows B, 10 rows A, 2
rows B and rem rows MC) at the
same time decreasing as follows:
Dec 1 st at beg and end of 3rd and
following 6th rows 5 (6-7) times,
then on following 4th rows 3 times.
35 (37-39) sts.
Cont even until Sleeve measures 10
(11½-12½) ins [25.5 (29-32) cm],
ending with a purl row and dec 6 sts
evenly across last row. 29 (31-33) sts.
Change to smaller needles and work
2 ins [5 cm] in (K1. P1) ribbing as
given for Back. Cast off.
FINISHING
Sew side and sleeve seams.
