Soft Boucle Stripes - Round TV Pillow (crochet)

A quick and easy stripey cushion. Approx. 36 ins [91.5 cm] in diameter. Shown in Bernat Soft Bouclé Stripes #26310 (Crocus Stripes), crochet on size 6.5 mm (U.S. K or 10.5) hook.

MEASUREMENTS: Approx 36 ins [91.5 cm] in diameter.

MATERIALS
Bernat Soft Bouclé Stripes (140 g/5 oz)
7 balls of #26310 (Crocus Stripes).

Size 6.5 mm (U.S. K or 10½) crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge. Stuffing. 2 pieces of Quilt batting 40 ins [101.5 cm] square. 2 buttons 1½ ins [4 cm] in diameter.

GAUGE: 12 hdc and 8 rows = 4 ins [10 cm].

INSTRUCTIONS
Top and Bottom (make alike).
Note: Ch 2 at beg of rnd does not count as hdc.

**Ch 3.
1st rnd: 8 hdc in 3rd ch from hook. Join with sl st to first hdc.
2nd rnd: Ch 2. 2 hdc in each hdc around. Join with sl st to first hdc. 16 hdc.**
3rd rnd: Ch 2. *2 hdc in next hdc. 1 hdc in next hdc. Rep from * around. Join with sl st to first hdc. 24 hdc.
4th rnd: Ch 2. *2 hdc in next hdc. 1 hdc in each of next 2 hdc. Rep from * around. Join with sl st to first hdc. 32 hdc.
5th rnd: Ch 2. *2 hdc in next hdc. 1 hdc in each of next 3 hdc. Rep from * around. Join with sl st to first hdc.
Cont in same manner, inc 8 sts on every rnd until rnd: “Ch 2. *2 hdc in next hdc. 1 hdc in each of next 34 hdc. Rep from * around. Join with sl st to first hdc” has been completed.
Next rnd: Ch 2. 1 hdc in each hdc around. Join with sl st to first hdc.
Rep last rnd 4 times more. Fasten off.

Button cover: (make 4). Work from ** to ** as given above. Place button between 2 covers. Crochet 2 covers tog.

FINISHING
Cut batting 36 ins [91.5 cm] in diameter. Place between top and bottom of pillow. Sew top and bottom tog, leaving 10 ins [25.5 cm] opening. Stuff pillow between 2 pieces of batting. Sew opening closed. Sew 2 buttons to top and bottom through thickness of Pillow.
