09414 (Candy Stripes) 1 ball

Size 5 mm (U.S. H or 8) crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge.

GAUGE
17 sts and 18 rows = 4 ins [10 cm] in pat.

INSTRUCTIONS
FRONT and BACK (make alike).
Ch 36.
Foundation row: (RS). 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. *Ch 1. Miss next ch. 1 sc in next ch. Rep from * to end of ch. 35 sts. Turn.
2nd row: Ch 1. 1 sc in first sc. 1 sc in next ch-1 sp. *Ch 1. Miss next sc. 1 sc in next ch-1 sp. Rep from * to last sc. 1 sc in last sc. Turn.
3rd row: Ch 1. 1 sc in first sc. *Ch 1. Miss next sc. 1 sc in next ch-1 sp. Rep from * to last 2 sts. Ch 1. Miss next sc. 1 sc in last sc. Turn.
Rep last 2 rows until work from beg measures 17 ins [43 cm], ending with RS facing for next row. Fasten off.

FINISHING
Sew pieces together as shown in Diagram.
