GAUGE
Jacket: 11 sc and 11½ rows = 4 ins [10 cm] with smaller hook.
Blanket: 10 sc and 10½ rows = 4 ins [10 cm] with larger hook.

INSTRUCTIONS
JACKET

The instructions are written for smallest size. If changes are necessary for larger sizes the instructions will be written thus ( ).

Note: Jacket is worked in 2 pieces, beg at wrist and working to center of body.

LEFT SIDE
**With smaller hook, ch 13 (15- 19).
1st row: (WS). 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 1 sc in each ch across. Turn. 12 (14-18) sc.
2nd row: Ch 1. 2 sc in first sc. 1 sc in each sc to last sc. 2 sc in last sc. Turn. 14 (16-20) sc.
3rd row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc to end of row. Turn.
4th row: Ch 1. 2 sc in first sc. 1 sc in each sc to last sc. 2 sc in last sc. Turn. 16 (18-22) sc.
Work 3 rows even.
Rep last 4 rows 1 (2-1) time(s) more. 18 (22-24) sc.
Cont even until work from beg measures 4½ (-6) ins [11.5 (14-15) cm], ending with RS facing for next row and placing marker at each end of last row.
Shape sides: Next row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc across. Ch 10 (14- 16). Turn.

FINISHING: Pin garment pieces to measurements. Cover with a damp cloth, leaving cloth to dry. Sew center back seam using a flat seam. Sew side and sleeve seams.

Sleeve Edging: With RS of work facing and smaller hook, join MC with sl st to lower edge of Sleeve at seam. Ch 1. Work 12 (14-18) sc evenly around lower edge of sleeve. Join A with sl st to first sc. Break MC.

Body Edging: With RS of work facing and smaller hook, join MC with sl st to lower edge of body at center back seam. Ch 1. Work 21 (23-27) sc across lower edge to beg of front shaping, 20 (26-29) sc up right front edge to shoulder,
14 (14-16) sc across back neck, 20 (26-29) sc down left front edge, 21 (23-27) sc across lower edge to center back seam. 96 (112-128) sc. Join with sl st to first
sc. Fasten off. Work from *** to *** as given for Sleeve Edging.

BLANKET
With MC and larger hook, ch 91.
1st row: (WS). 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 1 sc in next ch. *Ch 2. Miss next 2 ch. 1 sc in each of next 2 ch. Rep from * to end of ch. 90 sts. Turn.
2nd row: Ch 1. 1 sc in first sc. Ch 1. Miss next sc. *2 sc in next ch-2 sp. Ch 2. Miss next 2 sc. Rep from * to last ch-2 sp and 2 sc. 2 sc in next ch-2 sp. Ch 1.
Miss next sc. 1 sc in last sc. Turn.

Border: With RS of work facing and smaller hook, join A with sl st to top right corner sc.
