Size 6 mm (U.S. J or 10) crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge. ½ yd [.45 m] of lining fabric. Handles 6 ins [15 cm] wide for Purse.

GAUGE
10 sc and 12 rows = 4 ins [10 cm].

INSTRUCTIONS
The instructions are written for smallest size. If changes are necessary for larger sizes the instructions will be written thus ( ).
Note: To change colors, work to last 2 loops on hook. Draw new color through to complete st and proceed.

Wrap
TAILS [make 99 (105-111-117-123)].
With A, ch 3.
1st row: (RS). 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 1 sc in next ch. Turn. 2 sc.
2nd row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each of next 2 sc. Turn.
3rd row: Ch 1. 1 sc in first sc. 2 sc in next sc. Break A. Turn. 3 sc.
4th row:With MC, ch 1. 1 sc in each of next 3 sc. Turn.
Rep last row until Tail measures 4½ ins [11 cm], ending with a WS row. Fasten off.
Beg at top edge, with MC, ch 118 (124-130-136- 142).
1st row: (RS). 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 1 sc in each ch across. 117 (123-129-135-141) sc.
2nd to 4th rows: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc across. Turn.
5th row: Ch 1. *1 sc in each of next 3 sc. Place last row of Tail on top of next 3 sc ofWrap. Sc through both thicknesses of same 3 sc to join Tail. Rep from * to last 3 sc. 1 sc in each of last 3 sc. Turn.
6th row: Ch 1. Draw up a loop in each of next 2 sc. Yoh and draw through all loops on hook – sc2tog made. 1 sc in each sc to last 2 sc. Sc2tog over last 2 sts.
7th row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc across. Turn.
8th to 10th rows: Rep 6th and 7th rows once more, then 6th row once.
Rep 5th to 10th rows 4 times more, then 5th to 8th rows once. 83 (89-95-101-107) sc. Fasten off (bottom edge).

Work as forWrap.

FRONT and BACK (make alike)
With MC, ch 28.
1st row: (RS). 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 1 sc in each ch across. 27 sc.
2nd to 4th rows: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc across. Turn.
5th row: Ch 1. *Place last row of Tail on top of next 3 sc of Purse. Sc through both thicknesses of same 3 sc to join Tail. 1 sc in each of next 3 sc. Rep from * to last 3 sc. Place last row of Tail on top of next 3 sc of Purse. Sc through both thicknesses of same 3 sc to join Tail. Turn.
6th to 10th rows: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc across. Turn.
11th row: Ch 1. *1 sc in each of next 3 sc. Place last row of Tail on top of next 3 sc of Purse. Sc through both thicknesses of same 3 sc to join Tail.
Rep from * to last 3 sc. 1 sc in each of last 3 sc. Turn.
12th to 16th rows: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc across. Turn.
17th row: As 5th row.
18th row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc across. Turn. Place a marker at each end of last row.
19th row: Ch 1. Draw up a loop in each of next 2 sc. Yoh and draw through all loops on hook – sc2tog made. 1 sc in each sc to last 2 sc. Sc2tog over last 2 sts.
20th row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc across. Turn.
Rep last 2 rows 4 times more. 17 sc.
29th to 31st rows: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc across. Turn.
Fasten off.

FINISHING
Cut lining fabric to match front and back pieces before markers leaving ¾ inch [1.5 cm] seam allowance around all edges.
Sew Front to Back between markers leaving top edges open and taking care not to catch Tails in seam. Sew lining pieces tog using French Seam.
Fold seam allowance of lining around edges above markers to WS, pin in position to Bag, then sew.
Fold top edges of Front and Back around handle openings and sew in position on WS.
With WS tog stitch a seam ½ inch [1 cm] wide.
Trim this seam to ⅛ inch [3 mm] and press to one side. Fold fabric with RS tog along seam line and press. Stitch a seam ¼ inch [5 mm] from fold.
