MEASUREMENTS
Throw: Approx 39 x 47 ins [99 x 119.5 cm].
Pillow: 14 ins [35.5 cm] square.
Rug: Approx 22 x 36 ins [56 x 91.5 cm].

GAUGE
Throw: 15 sts and 18 rows = 4 ins [10 cm] with 6 mm needles and Bernat® Satin in stocking st.
Pillow: 18 sts and 24 rows = 4 ins [10 cm] with 5 mm needles and Bernat® Satin in stocking st.
Rug: 12 sts and 17 rows = 4 ins [10 cm] with 6.5 mm needles and 2 strands of Bernat® Softee Chunky in stocking st.

Throw: Size 6 mm (U.S. 10) circular knitting needle 32 ins [80 cm] long or size needed to obtain gauge.
Pillow: Size 5 mm (U.S. 8) knitting needles or size needed to obtain gauge. Pillow form 14 ins [35.5 cm] square for each pillow.
Rug: Size 6.5 mm (U.S. 10½) knitting needles or size needed to obtain gauge. Note: For safety, use a non-slip pad under Rug.

INSTRUCTIONS
Note: When working in Stripe Pats, do not break yarn. Carry yarn not in use loosely up side of work, twisting around working yarn at ends of rows to avoid long floats.
Lay work flat and shape to required width before measuring length.

Throw
With circular needle and A, cast on 173 sts. Do not join. Working back and forth across needle in rows, proceed in Stripe Pat as follows:
1st row: (RS). With MC, knit.
Beg with a knit row, work 9 rows in reverse stocking st (purl on RS, knit on WS).
Next row: (RS). With A, knit.
Beg with a purl row, work 3 rows in stocking st (knit on RS, purl on WS).
These 14 rows form Stripe Pat.
Cont in Stripe Pat until work from beg measures approx 47 ins [119.5 cm], ending with 10 rows of MC.
With A, cast off loosely (RS).

Pillow
Note: 2 identical pillows are shown in photograph. Quantities given are for 1 pillow.
(Work 2 pieces alike)
With smaller needles and A, cast on 64 sts.
Work 4 rows in stocking st.
Proceed in Stripe Pat as given for Throw until work from beg measures approx 14 ins [35.5 cm], ending with 4 rows of A. Cast off loosely (RS).

FINISHING
With WS tog, sew 3 sides of Pillow, matching stripes at side
edges. Insert pillow form. Sew rem side of Pillow.

Rug
With larger needles and 2 strands of B, cast on 66 sts.
Knit 3 rows, noting first row is WS. Drop 1 strand of B.
Proceed in Stripe Pat as follows:
1st row: (RS). With 1 strand of B and 2 strands of MC, knit.
Beg with a knit row, work 5 rows in reverse stocking st. With 2 strands of B, knit 2 rows.
These 8 rows form Stripe Pat.
Cont in Stripe Pat until work from beg measures approx 35 ins [89 cm], ending with 5 rows of MC and B tog.
With 2 strands of B, knit 3 rows. Cast off knitwise (WS).
