MEASUREMENTS
Approx 14 ins [35.5 cm] in diameter and 2 in [5 cm] high.

GAUGE
14 sts and 17 rows = 4 ins [10 cm] in stocking st.

MATERIALS
Bernat® Boa
(Brown) 2 balls

Size 5.5 mm (U.S. 9) knitting needles or size needed to obtain gauge.
1½ yds (1.4 m] of elastic ¼ inch [6 mm] wide. Round foam cushion form 2 ins [5 cm] thick matching size of Stool.

Dec = Decrease.
K = Knit.
K2tog = Knit next 2 stitches together.
Rem = Remaining.
Rep = Repeat.
RS = Right side.
St(s) = Stitch(es).
Tog = Together.
WS = Wrong side.

INSTRUCTIONS
Cast on 154 sts.
Proceed in stocking st until work from beg measures 3½ ins [9 cm], ending with a knit row.
Next row: (WS). (Fold row). Knit.
Proceed as follows:
1st row: (RS). K1. *K17. K2tog. Rep from * to last st. K1. 146 sts.
2nd and alt rows: Purl.
3rd row: K1. *K16. K2tog. Rep from * to last st. K1. 138 sts.
5th row: K1. *K15. K2tog. Rep from * to last st. K1. 130 sts.
6th row: Purl.
Cont in this manner, dec 8 sts on next and every following alt row to 18 sts.
Break yarn, leaving a long end. Thread end through rem sts and draw up firmly. Fasten securely.
Sew side seam. Cut elastic to measurement. Sew ends tog securely.
Sew elastic to cast on edge on WS.
