13 ins [33 cm] square and 5 ins [12.5 cm] high (excluding tails).

GAUGE
14 sts and 17 rows = 4 ins [10 cm] in stocking st.

MATERIALS
Bernat® Boa
Main Color (MC) (Brown) 3 balls
Contrast A (Black) 1 ball

Size 5.5 mm (U.S. 9) knitting needles or size needed to obtain gauge.

Rem = Remaining.
Rep = Repeat.
St(s) = Stitch(es).

INSTRUCTIONS
With MC, cast on 47 sts.
Proceed in stocking st until work from beg measures 5 ins [12.5 cm], ending with a purl row.
Cast on 17 sts beg next 2 rows. 81 sts.
Proceed in stocking st for a further 13 ins [33 cm], ending with a purl row. Cast off 17 sts beg next 2 rows. 47 sts.
Proceed in stocking st for a further 5 ins [12.5 cm], ending with a purl row.
**Next row: (RS). Cast off 2 sts. *Tail: Slip stitch from right-hand needle back onto left-hand needle. Cast on 15 sts. With A, cast on 5 sts. K5. With MC, K15. Turn. Leave rem sts on a spare needle. K15. With A, K5. Cast off 5 sts. With MC, cast off 19 sts.*
Rep from * to *, ending with: Cast off 21 sts.**
With RS of work facing and MC, pick up and knit 47 sts along cast on edge.
