Approx 33 x 41 ins [84 x 104 cm].

MATERIALS
Bernat® Softee Baby (140 g / 5 oz)
Main Color (MC): (Blue)2 balls
Contrast A: (White) 1 ball

Size 5 mm (U.S. H or 8) crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge.

GAUGE
16 dc and 7 rows = 4 ins [10 cm].

INSTRUCTIONS
Note: Carry color not in use loosely across top of previous row and work color in use over it. To change color, work to last 2 loops on hook. Draw loop in next color through 2 loops on hook to complete st and proceed in next color.

Strip A (make 3)
With MC, ch 29.
1st row: (RS). 1 dc in 4th ch from hook. 1 dc in next ch. *With A, 1 dc in each of next 3 ch. With MC, 1 dc in each of next 3 ch. Rep from * across, joining A at end of last dc. 27 dc.Turn.
2nd row:With A, ch 3 (counts as dc). Miss first dc. 1 dc in each of next 2 dc. *With MC, 1 dc in each of next 3 dc. With A, 1 dc in each of next 3 dc. Rep from * across, joining MC at end of last dc. Turn.
3rd row: With MC, ch 3 (counts as dc). Miss first dc. 1 dc in each of next 2 dc. *With A, 1 dc in each of next 3 dc.With MC, 1 dc in each of next 3 dc. Rep from * across, joining A at end of last dc. Turn.
4th to 10th rows: Rep 2nd and 3rd rows 3 times more, then 2nd row once.
**11th to 20th rows:With MC, ch 3 (counts as dc). Miss first dc. 1 dc in each dc across. Turn.
21st row: As 3rd row.
22nd to 29th rows: Rep 2nd and 3rd rows 4 times.
30th row: As 2nd row.**
Rep from ** to ** twice more. Fasten off.

Strip B (make 2)
With MC, ch 29.
1st row: (RS). 1 dc in 4th ch from hook. 1 dc in each ch across. 27 dc. Turn.
2nd to 10th rows: Ch 3 (counts as dc). Miss first dc. 1 dc in each dc across. Turn.

12th row:With A, ch 3 (counts as dc). Miss first dc. 1 dc in each of next 2 dc. *With MC, 1 dc in each of next 3 dc. With A, 1 dc in each of next 3 dc. Rep from * across, joining MC at end of last dc. Turn.
13th to 20th rows: Rep 11th and 12th rows 4 times more.
21st to 30th rows: With MC, ch 3 (counts as dc). Miss first dc. 1 dc in each dc across. Turn.***
Rep from *** to *** twice more. Fasten off.

Sew strips tog in the following sequence: A, B, A, B, A.

Edging: 1st rnd:With RS of work facing, join MC with sl st in top right corner. Ch 1. 3 sc in same sp as last sl st. Work 1 rnd of sc evenly around, having 3 sc in each corner. Join A with sl st to first sc.
2nd rnd:With A, ch 4 (counts as 1 dc and ch 1). *Miss next sc. 1 dc in next sc. Ch 1. Rep from * around, working [(1 dc. Ch 1) twice. 1 dc] in each corner sc. Join MC with sl st to 3rd ch of ch 4. Break A.
3rd rnd: Ch 1. 1 sc in same sp as last sl st. *1 hdc in next missed sc from 1st rnd (working around ch-1 sp of 2nd rnd). 1 sc in next dc. Rep from * around. Join with sl st to first sc. Fasten off.
