A: 1 ball (02000 White)

Size 5 mm (U.S. H or 8) crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge.

15 sts and 10 rows = 4 ins [10 cm] in pat.

INSTRUCTIONS
Note: Ch 2 for turning ch does not count as st.
Main Section
**With MC, ch 129.
1st row: (RS). 1 hdc in 3rd ch from hook. 1 hdc in each ch across. 127 sts. Turn.
2nd row: Ch 2. 1 hdc in back loop of 1st hdc. *1 hdc in front loop of next hdc. 1 hdc in back loop of next hdc.
Rep from * to end of row. Turn.**
Rep 2nd row for pat until work from beg measures 23 ins [58.5 cm], ending with a WS row.

***Divide for legs and shape sides: Next row:
Ch 2. Yoh and draw up a loop in next st. Draw up a loop in next st. Yoh and draw through all 4 loops on hook – hdc2tog made. Hdc2tog over next 2 sts. Pat across next 59 sts. Turn. Leave rem sts unworked.
Next row: Ch 2. Pat to last 4 sts. (Hdc2tog) twice. Turn.
Next row: Ch 2. (Hdc2tog) twice. Pat to end of row. Turn.
Rep last 2 rows 8 times more. 25 sts rem. Fasten off.

Rep 2nd row for pat until work from beg measures 7 ins [18 cm], ending with a WS row.
Work from *** to *** as for Main Section.
Top edging: 1st row: (RS). Join A with sl st at top right corner of foundation row. Ch 1. Work 127 sc evenly across. Do not turn.
2nd row: Ch 1. Working from left to right, instead of from right to left as usual, work 1 reverse sc in each sc across. Fasten off.

FINISHING
Place WS of Body Section against RS of Main Section aligning leg and side shaping. Pin edges tog.
Edging: 1st rnd: (RS). Join MC with sl st at top left corner of Body Section. Work 1 rnd of sc evenly around outer edges (working through both thicknesses to join Main and Body Sections), working 3 sc in outer corners and sc3tog at inner corner of leg division. Join A with sl st to first sc. Break MC.
2nd rnd: With A, ch 1. Work 1 sc in each sc around, working 3 sc in each corner sc and sc3tog at inner leg division. Join with sl st to first sc.
3rd rnd: Ch 1. Working from left to right, instead of from right to left as usual, work 1 reverse sc in each sc around. Join with sl st to first sc. Fasten off.
Place vertical markers 7 ins [18 cm] on either side of leg division down length of Body Section. With MC sew through all thicknesses to create openings for legs.
