1 ball each: MC: (30233 Fresh Green),
A: (30128 Ocean), B: (02000 White) and
C: (30221 Soft Fern)

Size 4 mm (U.S. G or 6) crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge. 3 buttons.

GAUGE
16 sts and 15 rows = 4 ins [10 cm] in pat.

INSTRUCTIONS
Notes: • Garment is worked in one piece sideways from cuff to cuff. • Ch 2 for turning ch does not count as st. • To change colors, work to last 2 loops on hook, draw new color through loops and proceed.

Stripe Pat: Work in pat 2 rows of each color: B, C, MC and A.
These 8 rows form Stripe Pat.

Beg at left cuff, with MC ch 44.
1st row: (RS). 1 hdc in 3rd ch from hook. 1 hdc in each ch across. Turn. 42 sts.
2nd row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each hdc across. Join A. Turn.
3rd row: With A, ch 2. 1 hdc in each sc across. Turn.
4th row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each hdc across. Join B. Turn.
Last 2 rows form pat. Cont in Stripe Pat until sleeve from beg measures 5 ins [12.5 cm], ending on a WS row.

Shape sides: Next row: With correct color, ch 31. 1 hdc in 3rd ch from hook. 1 hdc in each of next 28 ch. 1 hdc in each sc to end of row. Turn.
Next row: Ch 30. 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 1 sc in each of next 28 ch. 1 sc in each hdc to end of row. Turn. 100 sts.
Work a further 10 rows even in pat.
Shape back: Next row: (RS). With correct color, ch 2. 1 hdc in each of next 50 sts (neck edge). Turn. Leave rem sts unworked. Work 19 rows even in pat.
Shape left front: (RS). Rejoin correct color to rem 50 sts and work 10 rows even in pat. Fasten off.
Right front: With correct color, ch 52. 1st row: 1 hdc in 3rd ch from hook. 1 hdc in each ch across. Turn. 50 sts.
Work 9 rows in pat. Fasten off.

Join front and back: Next row: (RS). With correct color, ch 2. 1 hdc in each of next 50 sc of back. 1 hdc in each of next 50 sc of right front. 100 sts. Turn.
Work 11 rows even in pat. Fasten off.
Shape sides: Next row: (RS). Miss first 28 sts. Join correct color with sl st to next st. Ch 2. 1 hdc in each of next 42 sc. Turn. Leave rem 29 sts unworked.
Cont even in pat until right sleeve measures same length as left sleeve. Fasten off. Sew side and sleeve seams.
Outer edging: (RS). Join MC with sl st at lower edge and work sc evenly around outer edge, working 3 sc in each corner.
Join with sl st to first sc. Fasten off. Fold back lapels as shown and sew in place.
Button loops: Make 3 button loops on right front edge as follows: Join MC with sl st at front edge. Ch 5. Join with sl st in same sp. Fasten off. Sew on buttons.
