MEASUREMENTS
Approx 37 x 37 ins [94 x 94 cm].

GAUGE
14 sts and 19 rows = 4 ins [10 cm] in stocking st.

MATERIALS
Bernat® Softee Chunky (100 g/3.5 oz)
Main Color (MC) (White) 5 balls
Contrast A (Black) 1 ball
Contrast B (Red) 1 ball

Size 6.5 mm (U.S. 10½) knitting needles or size needed to obtain gauge.

ABBREVIATIONS
Approx = Approximately.
Beg = Beginning.
K = Knit.
Rep = Repeat.
RS = Right side.
P = Purl.
Pat = Pattern.
St(s) = Stitch(es).
Tog = Together.
WS = Wrong side.

INSTRUCTIONS
Note: When working from charts, wind small balls of the colors to be used, one for each separate area of color in the design. Start new colors at appropriate points. To change colors, twist the two colors around each other where they meet, on wrong side, to avoid a hole.
PANEL
With MC, cast on 61 sts.
Work 12 rows in stocking st.
Next row: (RS). With MC, K8. Knit 1st row of Chart, reading row from right to left. With MC, K8.
Next row: With MC, P8. Purl 2nd row of Chart, reading row from left to right. With MC, P8.
Chart is now in position. Work in stocking st to end of chart.
With MC, beg with a knit row, work 12 rows in stocking st. Cast off.
Make 4 panels, using one chart for each panel.
FINISHING
Pin pieces to measurements. Cover with a damp cloth, leaving cloth to dry. Sew panels tog for blanket.
Top edging: With MC, pick up and knit 109 sts along top of Blanket. Knit 4 rows. Cast off knitwise (WS). Rep for bottom of Blanket.
Side edging: With MC, pick up and knit 115 sts along side of Blanket. Knit 4 rows. Cast off knitwise (WS). Rep for other side.
