To fit baby sizes 3/6 (12-18) months.

MATERIALS
Bernat® Baby Jacquards Florals (100 g/3.5 oz)
#06402 (Rosebud) 1 (1-1) ball

Size 4 mm (U.S. 6) circular knitting needle 24 ins [60 cm] long or size needed to obtain gauge. Length of ¾ inch [2 cm] elastic.

GAUGE
23 sts and 30 rows = 4 ins [10 cm] in stocking st.

Cast on 300 (312-324) sts. Join in rnd, placing a marker on first st (taking care not to twist sts).
1st to 6th rnds: *P3. K9. Rep from * around.
7th rnd: *P3. K2tog. K5. ssk. Rep from * around. 250 (260- 270) sts.
8th to 10th rnds: *P3. K7. Rep from * around.
11th rnd: *P3. K2tog. K3. ssk. Rep from * around. 200 (208- 216) sts.
12th to 14th rnds: *P3. K5. Rep from * around.
15th rnd: *P3. K2tog. K1. ssk. Rep from * around. 150 (156- 162) sts.
16th to 22nd rnds: *P3. K3. Rep from * around.
23rd rnd: *P1. P2tog. K3. Rep from * around. 125 (130-135) sts.
Knit even in rnds until work from beg measures 7½ (8½-9) ins [19 (21.5-23) cm].
Next rnd: *P2. K3. Rep from * around.
Rep last rnd for 2 ins [5 cm]. Cast off loosely in ribbing.
Fold waistband in half to WS and sew in position, leaving an opening to insert elastic. Cut elastic to fit waist measurement. Insert through waistband and sew ends of elastic tog securely. Sew waistband opening closed.
