INSTRUCTIONS
Basic Square
Cast on 39 sts.
1st row: (WS). Knit.
2nd row: K18. Sl1. K2tog. psso. Place marker on last st. K18.
3rd row: Purl.
4th row: Knit to 1 st before marked st. Sl1. K2tog. psso. Knit to end of row.
5th row: Knit.
6th row: As 4th row.
Rep last 4 rows to 19 sts.
Next row: (WS). Purl.
Next row: As 4th row.
Rep last 2 rows until 3 sts rem.
Next row: (WS). P3tog. Fasten off.
Joining Squares: Make 7 Squares for 1st Strip as shown on Diagram.
1st Square of 2nd Strip: Cast on 19 sts. Pick up and knit 20 sts along first Square of 1st Strip. 39 sts. Beg with a 1st row, work as given for Basic Square.
