100 g /3.5 oz; 316 m/346 yds)
06201 (Bluebell) 4 balls

Size 4.5 mm (U.S. 7) circular knitting needle 24 ins [60 cm] long. Size 4.5 mm (U.S. 7) knitting needles or size needed to obtain gauge.

GAUGE: 21 sts and 28 rows = 4 ins [10 cm] in stocking st.

: Bernat® Baby Jacquards is designed to create stripes and jacquard effect fabric as you knit. There are long sections of solid colors in stepping shades from light to dark then back to light, each approx 15 yds [14 m] long. The printed jacquard sections are also approx 15 yds [14 m] long. When joining a new ball of yarn, match color of new yarn to previous ball for pattern continuity.
Beg with dark solid color section and circular needle, cast on 126 sts. Do not join. Working back and forth across needle, proceed in stocking st until at least 1 full row of light solid color section after a jacquard section has been worked, ending with a purl row.
Note: Box Stitch Pat to be worked using solid colors. Stocking st to be worked using printed jacquard section of yarn.
**1st row: (RS). K2. *P2. K2. Rep from * to end of row.
2nd row: P2. *K2. P2. Rep from * to end of row.
3rd row: As 2nd row.
4th row: As 1st row.
Rep these 4 rows of Box Stitch Pat once more.
Work approx 6 or 8 rows in stocking st, ending with at least 1 full row of light solid color section after jacquard section has been worked and a purl row.**
Rep from ** to ** until work from beg measures approx 24 ins [61 cm], ending with dark color section and a purl row. Cast off. Border: With pair of needles, cast on 17 sts.
1st row: (RS). Knit.
2nd row: P14. Turn. Leave rem sts unworked.
3rd row: Sl1P. K13.
4th row: P14. K3.
5th row: K3. P14.
6th row: K14. Turn. Leave rem sts unworked.
7th row: Sl1P. P13.
8th row: Knit.
Rep these 8 rows for pat until Border measures length to fit around entire Blanket, gathering at corners. Cast off.
Beg at center of one side, sew shorter edge of Border in position using flat seam. Sew side seams of Border.
