MEASUREMENTS
Beret: One size to fit average lady.
Scarf: Approx 8 x 60 ins [20.5 x 152.5 cm].

MATERIALS
Bernat® Soft Boucle (140 g/5 oz; 233 m/255 yds)
26948 Slate Shades
Beret: 1 ball
Scarf: 2 balls

Sizes 5 mm (U.S. 8) and 5.5 mm (U.S. 9) knitting needles or size needed to obtain gauge. Cable needle.

GAUGE
13 sts and 20 rows = 4 ins [10 cm] with larger needles in stocking st.

With smaller needles, cast on 74 sts.

Rep last row until work from beg measures 2 ins [5 cm], ending with a WS row.

Rep from * to last st. K1. 134 sts
Next row: K4. *M1. K4. M1. K3. Rep from * to last 4 sts. K4. 170 sts.
Change to larger needles and proceed as follows:
