Approx 8 ins [20.5 cm] wide x 26 ins [66 ins] around.

MATERIALS
Bernat® Roving
(100 g/3.5 oz; 109 m/120 yds)
00071 (Plum) 1 ball

Size 10 mm (U.S. 15) circular knitting needle 24 ins [61 cm] long or size needed to obtain gauge. Cable needle.

GAUGE
9 sts and 14 rows = 4 ins [10 cm] in stocking st.

C6F = Slip next 3 stitches onto cable needle and leave at front of work. K3, then K3 from cable needle.

INSTRUCTIONS
Cast on 64 sts. Join to beg working in rnds, being careful not to twist. Place marker on first st to indicate beg of rnd.
**1st rnd: Knit.
2nd rnd: Purl.
Rep last 2 rnds once more.**

Beg Cable Pat:
1st and 2nd rnds: *P2. K6. Rep from * around.
3rd rnd: *P2. C6F. Rep from * around.
4th to 6th rnds: *P2. K6. Rep from * around.
Rep last 6 rnds for pat until Cowl measures approx 8 ins [20.5 cm], ending on a 6th rnd of pat.
Work from ** to ** once. Cast off knitwise.
