Contrast B
48131 (Blue Bon Bon) 3 balls
Contrast A
48008 (Natural) 3 balls

Size 4.5 mm (U.S. 7) knitting needles. Size 4.5 mm (U.S. 7) circular knitting needle 40 ins [100 cm] long or size needed to obtain gauge.

K1below = Knit next stitch 1 row below, at same time slipping off stitch above.
P = Purl.

GAUGE
21 sts and 29 rows = 4 ins [10 cm] in
stocking st.

INSTRUCTIONS
Strip I
(make 3).
With pair of needles and A, cast on 31 sts.
**1st row: (RS). Knit.
2nd row: K1below. *P1. K1below. Rep from * to end of row.
Rep last 2 rows of Shaker Rib Pat for 6 ins [15 cm], ending with a WS row. Break A.
With B, work 6 ins [15 cm] in stocking st, ending with a purl row. Break B.**
Rep from ** to ** twice more. With B, cast off.

Strip II (make 3).
With pair of needles and B, cast on 31 sts.
***Work 6 ins [15 cm] in stocking st, ending with a purl row. Break B.
Join A and proceed as follows:
1st row: (RS). Knit.
2nd row: K1below. *P1. K1below. Rep from * to end of row.
Rep last 2 rows of Shaker Rib Pat for 6 ins [15 cm], ending with a WS row. Break A.***
Rep from *** to *** twice more. With A, cast off.

FINISHING
Sew Strips tog, alternating Strip I and Strip II.
Top and bottom edging: With RS of work facing, circular needle and B, pick up and knit 180 sts across top edge of Blanket.
****Knit 3 rows.
With A, knit 2 rows.
With B, knit 3 rows.
Cast off knitwise (WS). ****
Rep for bottom edge.
Side edging: With RS of work facing, circular needle and B, pick up and knit 190 sts across side edge of Blanket.
Rep from **** to **** as given above.
Rep for other side.
